How to get to Verbania?
Verbania is a municipality that includes the villages of Pallanza and Intra. It is located on the norther shore of Lake Maggiore, Piedmont region, northwestern Italy.
By air: The nearest international airport is Milano Malpensa, with direct bus service to Verbania (17 Euro, 6 busses a day), 90 minutes trip, booking needed via this website.
By rail: The Verbania-Pallanza station is on the Simplon railway line Milano-Domodossola-Brig and from Domodossola Eurocity trains go to Bern/Basel/Lausanne/Geneva. Book trains on the Trenitalia website or the Swiss Railway website. The Verbania-Pallanza station is 9 km out of town and a bus (Line 1) is running every 30 min from the station to Verbania (Pallanza and Intra), 15-20 min trip. By car: The nearest motorway exit is Gravellona Toce on the E62 between Milano and Domodossola.
Around town: A bus is running between the Pallanza and Intra Village (Line 2); the closest stop to the Conference Centre Il Maggiore is “Intra Imbarcadero Nuovo”, 8 minutes walk. The timetable can be found here.
